Propelling Grace

Missing image

Twirling tradition's forms

reaching in feelers' milky tone

sinuous swirls envelop my space

sending beacons in high taste

Temptress' castings arouse all

taunting, flinging lurid tones?

nay, turning fiery calls

from beauty coursing halls

Propelling stately poses

toward passion's gate

so tantalizingly smooth

igniting embers, searing

the essence of elegance

Welcome to my chest

of favored forms

gracing my halls

well worn, yet warm

When we encounter dance we find visions that are well choreographed into our psyche. Appreciating the wonderful world of interpretation, whether it be graphic, literate or performing arts remains one of the higher callings in life. So, lets’ go forth and immerse ourselves in the beauty of interpretative creativity.

A contest entry

When we witness a form in static posture, don’t we animate it in our minds?

This was an extremely beautiful read. I really enjoyed it. I love the imagery and the words that you've chosen to use. The flow throughout was great. Just one thing though, you forgot to credit the artist in your Author Notes Please do that right away Thank you so very much for your entry and good luck.

I appreciate your comment, the correction is made. I hope you have a good visit with your Father, we look forward to seeing our children and hearing about all of the "neat" things they are doing as well as the challenges they face. I am sure you have a lot to share, go in peace and have a wonderful time.

We look forward to your return and your creativity.

Your poem carries the essence of elegance. Beautifully done! A wonderful interpretation of the prompt, which is caught in the swirl of black silk, full of grace and movement, dancing its way into hearts. Lovely!

    Charming

Your words have all the animation you suggest in your an's - they simply dance across the page. This is a beautiful poem that so effectively responds to and accentuates the feelings brought forth from the picture. I particularly like the last stanza. As you so effectively do in many of your poems, there are many interesting nuances and paths beckoning the reader. I like the cleverness embed in this one - each line and word....
