True love dares (senryu)

two budgies in love
careless about exposure
in barren autumn

.

Author notes

5/7/5 syllable count
photo was taken at Botanical Gardens, Birmingham......

The word Barren has many meanings.... I meant "Charmless"

I'm not sure if it can be called Senryu as it's depicting personification

and nature??

    touching

Having had budgies and being aware and appreciative of their behavior, I like this poem, regardless of form, for the effect it has, at least on this reader.

    Thank you for your Haiku:

    two budgies in love
    careless about exposure
    in barren autumn

This is wonderful. A sweet expression of birds in love, not bothering about the world. It can be implied to humans also.
I really like the picture of these cute budgies, which you have displayed here (But you will be judged only on the basis of your Haiku. )
This contest is for Haiku/ Senryu, so your poem fits here.

    Thanks again.

Hi Shivanirani, when I logged in I read your comment... now I can't see it... it has happened to few other comments aswell.... it seems AP is playing up again... please comment again...

I never thought that I was invading their privacy... it wasn't just me, hundreds of other people also watched at Botanical Garden... In Euorpean Countries Kissing in public even among human beings is very common and is not considered embarrasing... though I respect your sentiments .... Tusee Great O... Glad you liked the Haiku...

So cool! I like the tie between budgies and love! And that picture is adorable! I appreciate the choice of title, too. It brings more depth to the Haiku. I have a question though--I thought budgies lived in tropical places, does that mean "in barren autumn" refers to a warm autumn place? Just curious.

HI, Thank you very much... you're right they live in a tropical place... I've mentioned in my author's note that the picture was taken at Botanical Gardens, where they have created warm environment for them...
as for the word "Barren", as far I know it can be used in various contexts... ? I'm using it as an adjective refering to autum season..."charmless autumn"... as we know that the autumn is a dull season; leaves shed off from trees and they become charmless... and in uk it gets cold too... once again thank you for liking it...
