I closed my eyes , weary of the world
I saw the world within my mind
I heard the cries of the despair
Despair we wrought upon out selves and each other.
I closed my eyes, fearful of the dark
I saw the light within mans heart
Small and weak and heard it say
"I am Hope and I do not want to die"
I closed my eyes, pretending superiority
I saw my failings full to bare
I heard the laughter of others that know
My inner child was just insecure
I closed my eyes, unsure of everything
I saw the possiblilites that can be
I heard a single sound escaping
A whisper that said Yes!
