A whole three dollars and sixty five cents
that's a whole lot of time just for mints.
It would buy myself a dainty cake or two
but after it's eaten, why, I'd have the blues.
It would buy a gallon of gas at least
but where would I go, West or East?
The 'triple-threat' plus sixtyfive cents
wouldn't began to address my rents.
It's coming together, I'm getting a clue
the answer's coming; trying to get through.
The 'logical' thing would be to invest in a book
for that would afford me unlimited looks.
Author notes
Everyday, for one full year, you pick up a penny and set it aside. One penny per day of the full year. 365 pennies or $3.65 cents. I want a poem about what you would spend your $3.65 on, and why.

A book! You would think on this site full of writers and readers, more than one person would have bought a book, but alas, you were the only one. Good idea and well executed, thank you and enjoy your trophy.
