Just leave me standing in this forest
Smelling yesterday's wilting blossoms.
The devil in my hands,
But I never knew his name.
Not knowing whether these tears
Are laughter, anger, or
just fear, fear growing inside me
Planted there by you...
Who knew?
That having your soul in my soul,
Your body in my body,
Would leave this world so cold...
And my fire so bright,
As I watch the days lengthen
And myself expand.
A nudge, somewhere in there,
A little hand, reaching out,
Saying, I am here
And I am you and him and second life
Within.
Will she have your angel's eyes?
My fondness for the smell of paperbacks?
Black night flooded me,
But this little life within?
He or she is you and me
And all the light we'll ever need.
My favorite moment in the world,
When you look back and say
That me and he or she and you
Are all the love we need today.

Wow. The tangible emotion was well displayed.
The second stanza sounded great. I normally don't read things aloud on here, but I had to taste that one.
I don't know if this is a real experience for you, but if it isn't, I admire your solid portayal of the emotions- -
interesting
