I sleep
In my wedding dress
Dreaming of my special day
The dozen roses brighting up my dress
The sunset dying to the moonless night
I smile
walking down the aisle
I aimlessly walk
Not knowing where I'm walking
As I now see
My family, friends
Are wearing black
Why?
On my beautiful wedding day?
The moonless sky
Had a moon
But it was crimson red
Like blood
As I reach the altar
My soon to be husband
Was lying in the open coffin
Here I was
In white and red
My love was white and black
I cried
Hoping to wake up
From my wedding nightmare
But, sadly I can't wake up
Because
I'm not sleeping
I'm dead
Is this the afterlife?
Is this Hell?
What ever it is...
My body will forever sleep...
While my soul suffers forever...

I really like the idea of this piece - your first line is right on -
but I would have liked to see a bit more image to it, not telling me everything.
I think this has the potential to be a really stellar piece -
I'm sorry this happened... nobody should have to go through this, especially on their wedding day, life can be cruel on us at the worst of times.
