Reap Gold

Missing image

Contaminated thoughts begin to seep
embossed deep upon a negative mind
where characterless shadows start to creep
fixed within the gathering storms of time.

Lightning strikes in hallucinations
rolling thunder rumbles murderous cries
folding you succumb to dark temptations
ensuring an anguished tortured demise.

Acid rain lashes down upon your soul
tormented spirit fiercely twists and screams
ice cold terror grips as you loose control
reality rips shredded at the seams.

Fading eternally within hells hold
laughing, tables turn as queen you reap gold.

    Awesome!

Sonnets are a blast and with your poetic talent they should come easy to you. You are one of the few poetesses that could outwrite me, and you did. Once again, your mastery of language and visuals stand out. One recommendation, never use center align for a sonnet. It is not part of the form. Once again, Lady Dementia I bow to your poetic prowess.

It is a word, but not in that context.

        'lightening'==>opposite of 'darkening'

I'm pretty sure you meant lightning, as in lightning and thunder.

Oooo she does look like she is gathering storms

And damn yeah!! Sounds like she turned the tables there and got her own!!! Woot!

Love the "reap gold" bit too cause it looks like she's holding something golden in her hand!

    Wicked take!

Wow!!! Best sonnet I've ever read...

Wonderful imagery, fantastic narrative & rhythm that flows with grace...
Dark & menacing with some great wordplay/choice/use that made for a compelling read throughout...
Well penned, well versed well done!!!
