It sets to bed the night past
And allows Grandmother Moon to rest
Giving her warmth from a distance across the skies
Like the passion that feeds my heart
And time becomes a sharing we hold onto
A new dawn is upon us as we grow
Realising that like them, we share different skies.
Learning that without each other
The world would be an empty place
Oceans would grow still and life would fade
And stars would shine no more in eyes of those who loved
Sharing life between them, from one day to the next
But never together but for fleeting moments in times
They come to join as one causing a display of pure beauty
Seen only in the eyes of believers and the followers of life itself.
Seen in essence of pure vision
A diamond ring is they’re gift to each other
Brought to bring smiles and capturing love all around
A perfect joining of two as one.
They share in all things, breathing life into each day
Bodies of distant reflection, a beauty in their own right.
To think of one without the other in any day
Would bring a sadness to rest upon a heart
Sometimes others cast shadows across their faces
Bringing darkness to show itself
But like all things that pass over head
They soon fade into the distance
Knowing they could never belong
Or become part of such glory
They retreat again into the mists of time
And light shines again on all things true.
With such a powerful marriage between the two
Nothing could break their spirit
No force could take away their belonging together
And life itself is allowed to continue in harmony
They found the key to exist together
They grew to be understood as a pair
They were looked upon with pure love and devotion
Followed by all who seen their beauty and believed
But as each day closed
They would always share a fleeting kiss
Knowing that they would meet again
In the coming of a new day
They knew that each other would always be there
The perfect partners held at a distance
But always giving life to each other
Until again, they became one and shone brightly together.
Like lovers that pass in the night
Who share miles between them
They give the gift of trust to believe in each other
To be there for each other, forever and always.

Makes me wonder when the stars will come back into my eyes actually... Great imagery you used in this one - provides some food for thoughts as well...
Thank you for this entry!

What can i say. Your poems have always enchanted me and given me much to think about, while at the same time making me smile with all the love that flows from them. This one is no different. I thought the very first verse was my favourite. Something about the way you wrote that put a feeling of deep peace in me. The pure energy of your words really gave me images of the most special love shared between soul mates. I can't see anything that needs improving and see no need for any changes. This is just so beautiful. Will be bookmarked!

Beautiful Sentiments, Silent Panther!!
Your heart-warming words remind me of a quote I saw today, something regarding that if we had no friends on earth, we wouldn't want to live here. I think that was an ancient philosopher's musings, but I don't recall now who said it. I'll have to go back to see if I can locate that again... Anyway, this love poem of yours is a divine masterpiece!!
I'm sure your beautiful sweetheart loves it, as well.
Thank you so much for sharing, your tender love light shines on, forever and a day, Brother!!
Peace, love & hugs always, xx Yellow Moon xx
