Happiness, Strength, Wisdom, Hope, and Love.
"Love" being that of Carter,
who listened to her heart so much...
Entitled "Love" in her happy state,
she fought bravely with her friends...
But there came the day outside this game,
That her dances came to an end.
Virtual Reality, this "GameNap" product,
hired these five to test their game...
Naming each human after that element,
Their lives were never the same.
"Hope" befriended "Happiness",
"Strength" was companion to "Wisdom".
But in the end, Carter, "Love",
Did not ever join them.
She then fought on her own,
defeating levels and breaking wires,
Her blade and uneasiness
never to retire.
But alas there did come,
This story's dismaying part...
When outside the game,
Namida broke "Love"s heart.
Namida was not a part of the game,
But Carter's attraction on the outside...
a boy of whom she really trusted,
someone she really liked.
And then this fateful day arrived,
Carter signed her card into the game...
Her expression was dark, she refused to speak,
and her face was completely tear-stained.
She greeted the other gamers quietly,
and entered the virtual world...
She stood alone - more than usual -
as they whispered, "What's wrong with that girl?"
She strode along the dirt-bathed streets,
her hood covering her digital head;
Her head hung in such quiet sobs,
Her eyes outlined in red.
She kept her scythe forever beside her,
A warning she maintained solitude.
She wanted to keep her time to herself,
Unknowingly being rude.
"Love" made her way to the Pumpkin Patch,
her hysterical emotions plainly shown...
And with "Love"s heart broken, for the very first time,
Carter danced to her music alone.
Author notes
"GameNap"
--this is actualy a bit from a story that I am writing. "Carter" is a young teen-aged girl that is one of five to be selected to test out a new virtual reality project.
In the game, players are directed to fulfill a series of battles. Winners advance, losers come back to the real world.
But there's a smidge of a difference between GameNap and the usual Virtual Reality casual state...
In this game, you really can get hurt. machines with blades and other such weaponry are used to simulate the pain that the character has taken.
On the outside world, if one's element is tainted or rather, damaged, in any sort of way (Like Carter {"Love"} having her heart be broken) then that means your varied powers and abilities are also effected.
I'm still working on the story as we speak...
heh. I had a bad day yet again today so I wrote in the perspective of Carter.
