Stumble and fall in my arms
into this Pieta from a dim bardo,
You expose to me your dark craving
like revealing a scar under your clothes...
I tread your edge, searching the frontier of sweetened agony
there where the blood beneath your skin has the shade of wine.
your unkissable mouth asks for luscious cruelty,
You can't hide the pleading in your eyes.
You want me to be your amphibious Idol,
And plunge into your soul's black water.
Bow your head, braced for the slow twisted breaking,
your long hair heavy like fronds in a storm drain,
shackled and lost in some labyrinth with no absolution,
my most pitiable minotaur.
Author notes
My Dear Friend... Normal is a setting on your washing machine. Be happy in your life, and live it like it's a celebration. Adieu.

I gutted this poem a day or so ago
About half of it got overhauled. It's new and I kick them around pretty bad when they are this fresh. I know rhythm is big with some people but my thing is more shooting for pulling in the senses. Rhythm, I gotta work on that.. -
that dog in your photo looks familiar to me..
i have no idea why... its just a white dog...
anyway,
interesting combination of images in here..
i liked pitiable minotaur the most...
just a word i havent heard in a while
minotaur

Thanks...
the dog was what I liked best when I did an image search for white dog.
He is from a movie called White Dog. I don't know much about the movie, except that it's not really a feel-good hit of the year type flick. I'm glad he's just a little picture and not something I am actually confronting.

Wow :)
I love this, it really shows the frustration of wanting something you can't have.
The phrase 'unkissable mouth' honestly is my favourite in the whole piece, there is so much more behind this short, sweet poem that makes it all the more enticing to read!
Good luck!

Thank you, CK. I wrote this a few days ago. It's about something I'm still stinging over. When it's almost right, it's so close, yet so far, faith gets lost in the pain.
