City sidewalks

Acceding the limit
they're leading you

to plots and lots
framed, by concrete's etch on checkered streets

Walkers, talkers, gawkers
sidewalk show
horns that blow

You know you yearn to turn
but none too soon
you see you're caught in a tide of time
that holds the reason
and the rhyme

just out of sight
and out of mind

Author notes

The concrete and checkered streets line I owe to drbauser, it was in their poem cheaha.Check it out. http://allpoetry.com/poem/4728287

Wo this is a really neat poem. My first thought was your talking about coble streets. Montreal Canida has Coble streets down town area , Its a beautiful place to visit.
