Eyes

Somewhere, there in her eyes,
a distance brought near
a past, a memory as if from a cloud...
now so clear as it rests upon small shoulders
ever light as dust in sunbeams to rise in air.

And watchful eyes from walls of time
wandered like a shadow to the passing moments
like wind in curtained night, and night
is where she is ever young and hopeful

[when thoughts are a restless echo...]
to take you there, keep you near
near the ageless part of me, close
in the smallest parts of what i shall see

Beautiful...and beautiful eyes of the beholder...

And watchful eyes from walls of time
wandered like a shadow to the passing moments
like wind in curtained night, and night
is where she is ever young and hopeful

I agree with Mari and Ms Tara...

Thank you for sharing your talent Sir

Loved that first line, drew me right in and the entire poem lingers with me.

Anna made a great choice with that picture, and you added a wonderful interpretation of what you saw there.
Second stanza has an excellent image and feel, fitting so well with the picture prompt.
    Very nice work Howard
