The autumn air has always reminded me of her.
The scent of the breeze through my hair.
The abandoned aroma left from her flowery church dress.
The words "I will always be yours" echoing in my mind.
For those were the words I always needed her to say.
The words that terrorized my ambition.
The words that crippled my self esteem.
As I glimps in the direction from which she left, I gaze into the distance.
Praying to see her black toyota booking it twords my location, as if she just realized what she left behind.
But nobody hauls it down the street, and I am left to sit in the grass with anticipation.
