With a population of only eight hundred here
Traffic jams are non existent and would be real queer
Our local cop drinks in the pub quite often you see
He's always on vacation...great job you would agree
Oh but I must now brag, Boort has the choice of TWO pubs
Unlike those city folk who have all their fancy clubs
We think we really have it made... and we surely do
Staggering home from the pub when we've had quite a few
The middle of the road makes an ideal place to walk
When you've over indulged and can hardly even talk
Weaving up the middle of the road that leads to home
Wishing that your house did have some sort of radar dome
Can you imagine doing this in a big city
With all those cars wizzing by, it would not be pretty
Living in such a small town has its ups and its downs
But when you stagger home pissed from the pub no one frowns
We don't even have public transport to get around
Giving locals a ride home...our local cop's renowned
Give me a small town any day...cities you can stick
I'm blissfully happy being a country born hick
