Anticipating love
I wrote,
affirmed....
as true,
enticingly of journeys through long nightly mists
explored, and inhaled an ethereal bliss
with never regret for the taste of your kiss;
while alstwhile you lured and I ached to believe,
that with each space of breath that envelops our days,
the do's, don'ts and dramas wherein our life plays
is simply the essence of what we would be
if only I'd ask..."Won't you give this to me?"

I always marvel at the precision of answered affirmations even though we may have forgotten ourselves what we asked for
