A soldier is merely one we create for ourselves
A shoulder to cry on, protection, and faith
A loving soul who reaches out to help
A guiding light to aid you through your day
We have been dealt our unfair hands
But my dearest brother, there you have stood
By my side with a guiding heart
Not as a chore, but simply because you could
A father figure in my eyes
On the account we lacked our own
You stood brave, tall, and strong
Defeating battles as they were thrown
The man of the house
Among two sisters, and a mother
It is amazing to think where I would be
Without your love, my brother
I am blessed, truly am I blessed
I thank the heavens every opportunity I contain
For every minute, every second
Never do I complain
Everything happens for a reason
A saying we learn from everyday
I truly believe this for a fact
Because in my life, you found your way
Without you, there would be not a reason
Not a proven fact to live
