Once upon a lifetime
Not so very long ago
a star fell from the heavens
and landed here below
It was a little baby star
it shined with all its might
it glimmered and it flickered
for someone to see its light
somewhere close that very night
two people saw the sight
they closed their eyes and made a wish
and held each other tight
They wished upon that shooting star
for a child they both could love
They looked and saw that tiny light
that had fallen from above
They picked the little fallen star
up carefully in their hand
With smiles and tears they both agreed
This was something God had planned
For in their hands as they looked down
Into that shining light
A little baby girl lay there
A beautiful delight!
She grew into a loving soul
for all the world to see
The star that fell from heaven
My sister....Amanda Lee!

I like this a lot. Definitely wouldn't mind if I was referred to as a star

In this stanza:
They wished upon that shooting star
for a child they both could love
They looked and saw that tiny light
that had fallen from above
I would consider taking out "both" which I think might make the flow a tad better
