among the storm

wishing it was over
was never my style
instead look upon the face of your tormentor
and tell them what you think

dream upon her smile again
think about his face once more
it's all just a pathetic rouse
to make all see pathetic lies

life does not have that peachy keen taste to it
as the sweetest of all candies
are sour as death inside
but that never bothered me

through the mess
and through the pain
I still stand strong
strong against that wind of life

for you know it's too late when it comes
but you never know just what to do
just live in the moment
and embrase the little light you have left

he was never meant to be your lover
and she was never meant to be your love
as a lovelife so shattered by mistakes
soon ensnares the senses of their being

through the mess
and through the pain
I still stand strong
strong against that wind of life
