The scent of flowers
Tumbles on the breeze
Carefree, sun shining
My soul refreshed
Ready for beauty awaiting
I run to meet the source of the scent
Somber faces, crying eyes
Amongst rose blossoms
In the centre, my own body lay

What a trip!
You really got me on this one! Very original and not cliche at all like so many "rose" poems! ha ha. I really liked this poem a lot. It was like you didnt even know you were dead and the place you were at was beautiful and you were free. I really liked that concept. Wonderful write.

Lovely in creative reality...bringing something so carefree to such a stark ending in so few words...well done...
thank you for sharing.

I love the way you express the feeling of freedom and then contrast it with the somber faces and crying eyes.
