Take me from faith far beyond.
Make my heart like Your Son’s.
Beyond trust in your salvation,
into blessed firm conviction.
“I seek to trump your heart’s desire,
take you on from My salvation.
Like a breath on waning fire,
My love is your peaceful persuasion.
“See that I am all about,
just as I am deep within.
I’m closer than your broken shout,
in between you and your sin.
“Your soul is My holy obsession.
You are always before My eyes.
I desire to be your Confession,
to stand between you and the lies.”
My heart’s a flame to His delight,
for I receive His blessed answer.
Borne in me is His might.
He has made me all that matters.
