Fire cleaves the clouds in twain
But douses not the land.
A blanket of color
Warms the ground
With whispers and hints of dreams.
A kiss provoked by silent giggles,
Sweet, delicate and bright;
Just as raindrops kiss the leaves,
And softly carress a cheek.
Rocky terrain, romantic in red,
Sunbeams like a spotlight.
Shine down, shine on, surround and reveal
A romance atop the mountain.
Chilling wind cuts the trees
But guard the forest trail.
The ledge so sheer, scares little elves
But turtle doves perch lightly there.
Sun sets down and goes to sleep.
The ledge stays hidden in shadow.
The doves grow cold and fly away
Reminiscent of a warmer day.

I actually really like this poem.
It makes me happy. It's the best love poem I've written and I'm pretty proud of it.
