Beauty of this day
where the sun painted it's Summer warmth,
blossoms upon Oak,
illuminating aura,
soft whispers in breeze.
On lawn, friends did mingle,
tabled white where the wine flows
and conversation of laughter flourished.
Colonial house we made our home
old wheel of history
once drawn the wagons horse
brought us so much happiness and luck.
Where children ran, and played on the rope swing
and hid in the 'treehouse'
we would search for hours..
Sun setting turning dusk
auburn skies burnished amber
hues in the mist
in night dew crystals
twinkled like a diamond
solitaire in ring.
Mesh screen kept the mosquito's away,
as we sat together
reminiscing..
sipping pims.

. I enjoyed it very much. your flow was very nice and the images and flash blacks make the poem what it is. best of luck to you in the future and with your writing.

A beautiful peaceful write, taking a trip down memory lane, or it certainly has that air to it
