His scorching crimson scales,
glisten against the light,
of the dancing flames,
that surround him
His keen golden eyes,
not missing a sight,
in the fiery inferno,
behold him
For the king of flames,
Dragon of creation and death,
Lord of the salamanders,
Majesty of power
He creates warmth and light,
hope and the start,
but puts it to flames,
Burning to ashes of dust
His fiesty tough temper,
makes others so fear,
yet there's his other side,
warm and comforting
He commands the flames,
with such dominant voice,
the fire jumps to obey,
their king and master
The fires dance for him,
licking his bloodred scales
Quick and agile,
like the king himself
But one night you might hear,
His chuckling laughter,
and bright timber sparks,
against the cold night
For if you listen with heart,
you will hear,
the dragon himself,
lord of the flames and fires

Vivid descriptions. Normally, I'd go cuckoo-critic on you. I"m a bit dusty though from jumping in leaf piles and sneezing up a storm. It's good my sneezes aren't fire, or the book I borrowed would be up in flames... just watch your comma use there, put the stanzas in a sentence and you'll see that they're sort of overused. Good luck in the contest!
