Dear Love,
It has been 105 days since I have last seen your face. I think about the times we have shared and regret coming back to California when you had asked me to stay with you. I remember going back after everyone was ready to leave just so that I could kiss your lips one more time.. so that I could take one more memory of you home with me, to keep me sane until the next time I could be in your arms. I wanted so much for us, and wanted to come to you without debt. I did not want you to be stuck carrying my burdens, but knew someday, we'd be together forever. That dream never came true... and I leave you knowing that there will be a long ways to travel before I'm far enough away to keep you out of my heart. Everyday without your voice is a day too long. I have cried a thousand tears for you but the pain is still so close to the surface. One day, I'll pick up the pieces you left behind and the pieces you discarded at my feet. I'll try to put what I can back together and what I can't I'll leave behind....

I want you to know how often I think of you and the moments that we spent together. Even if I had known that this pain would be what I was left with.. I'd do it over again, just to be with you.

The heart lays itself out, open for love and venerable...What if we never loved. I agree that that would be a harder life to live, and existence filled with longing and regret. There is so much sincerity written in this letter. Your passion and feelings of loss love are evident. I agree;
" there will be a long ways to travel before I'm far enough away to keep you out of my heart"
Distance such as this, cannot be adequately measured. You have a melancholy writ here that has forgiveness written in between the lines.

Thank you for your love and friendship. I cry everytime I read this. I dont think distance helps the heart heal.. it's just one more burden placed upon the shoulders of the one grieving.
