only an Us, and only a We

i am the We,
                    and We are the end
You are the Me,
                    and You are the bend

the bend We must turn,
                    to see the world through
the End we must earn;
                    Our tear-felt adieu

my Journey is Yours,
                  Your Journey is mine
for We are the Journey,
                  and We are The Rhyme

the Course has been set,
                  the Pieces in place
there's no need to fret,
                  'cause this is no race

ask Yourself, Why?
                  then, look all around
release Your deep sigh
                  then, look to the Ground

for We are the reason,
                  You make this long trip
and You are the person,
                  We catch when They slip

so,

get passed Yourself,
                  and get to the We
for, We Shall. find Peace,
                  and, We Shall. be Free

find the courage to Stand,
                  the spirit to Soar
please take My hand,
                  and open The Door

crossing the threshold,
                  look to the sky
You now understand,
                  why there is no Why

for there is no You,
              and there is no Me.
only an Us,
              and only a We

one of my poems reminded me of the line- We are The Rhyme:

This is truly beautiful and quite powerful. It seems like you are writing both about a farewell and an eternal greeting, and the contradiction of that is demanding of thought.

In line 27, do mean "past" instead of "passed", it doesn't quite read right as it is there, or was that the intent?

A marvelous poem, thank you so much for sharing. You have great potential, DO NOT STOP WRITING!! Ever.

    Good luck in the contest!
