Something deep inside of me

I would have no hesitation
  If I were her

for she is brave

  and knows no fear

 

 

I would run and dance

    and freely roam

Instead of sitting here

    alone

 

 

I would sing my songs

   for all to hear

With voice joy filled

   and lacking tears

 

 

If I were her for just a day

    I'd speak right out

for I have much to say

 

 

But I am simply

 who I am

the silent spirit

  of the human Jan

 

 

And I as Jan

to my spirit would say

YOU'RE  my greatest hero

in every way
