For these are the prophets that light up our night.
Word by word, and page by page
A path in his scribbles, blessed the sage.
Peace be upon Him who will build.
For these are the hands of the god we have willed.
Brick by brick, and stone by stone
Reality is made while he sits on a throne.
Peace be upon Him who will sing.
For many a soul's unwinding you bring.
Note by note, and chord by chord.
Committed to practice, a modern day sword.
Peace be upon Him who observes.
For these are the moments that rattle our nerves.
Scene by scene, and shot by shot.
Our mirrors reflection in a prime time slot.
Peace be upon Him who will believe.
For the power is in him to bend and to weave.
Trick by trick, and act by act
The magician and devil draw blood for the pact.
Peace be upon Him who will save.
For he is an action, an adrenaline wave.
Call by call, and Fire by fire
Never forget these angels for hire.
Peace be upon Him who will breed.
The cosmos align for the sowing of seed.
One by one, and two by two
The lovers eternally fill up our zoo.
Peace be upon Him who will lead.
Shaping parts of the god of his creed.
Sign by sign, and rule by rule
This shepherd gives a purpose to the fool.

Author notes
This was inspired by some research into the prophet muhammed. It comes off as a little sexist but thats more of its religious influence...not my own doing. Everyone knows i love the ladies too. So this goes out to all the women of earth, our equally confused counterparts that hold our hands as we wander this mystery we call existence.

If you give this a plain background with a white font colour or something it would give more impact.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ox1iMcc5Pkg&feature=related I was listening to this as i read it and it fits so perfetcly intime with your poem that I wouldn't be suprised if you were writing this and listening at the same time. It is rather spooky.
Your poem, i've just fallen in love with it so I am pleased to announce it is in the finalists list. Don't get too cockey yet I still have 100poems to read.

This flows rather well, and the rhyme only seems slightly forced. Thank-you very much for entering this into my contest, and good luck.

Nicely written. It immediately sounded like a tribute to one's guides and angels.

A very charming and uplifting write. I don't take it as sexest in any way but see it as mankind.

as a Muslim woman, I can surely appprecaite this piece of work regarding our Prophet Muhammed. Thank you so much for this write. It was beautifully penned with intense inspiration. He was truly a blessed soul (pbuh).
