My Happy Ending

Snow White,
Sleeping Beauty,
Cinderella.
They all have one thing in common.
A happy ending.

Not just any happy ending, mind you.
But one with a prince charming,
And a true love's kiss.

Where's my prince charming?
Sure, my story's not done,
But still.
What if I was the damsel in distress?
Who would care enough to save me,
Let alone with a kiss.

Moral of the story is,
In reality, there is no happy ending
Or prince charming to save you.
You've got to save yourself
Or nobody will.

What a great write. It is a beautiful piece with a great flow. I have to agree with you that fairy tale endings arent real. Thank you for entering. Best of luck in the contest and future writing.

This was a cute poem with a good idea and a good moral behind it though I couldn't see a firm structure in this. I love the last two lines simple yet direct.

    Good job!
