At Evening's Door

Roof rises to nudge the golden sun;
cat scratches his neck with one paw
in accordance with natural law

Kaleidoscope of glowing green tints;
roses withstand cool wind
as winter weaves hints

Misty moon begins to compete
with dwindling half light;
subtleties and silhouettes delight

Prelude to the onset
of November night.

    Your words compete with each other,
    one page after another, just as
    "...Misty moon begins to compete
    with dwindling half light;"----
    another gem.

    Oh my I loved how this flowed.
    You put it together nicely and I would have never thought of this title in that way, you took a beautiful title and made something unique out of it. This was a great read, much appreciated.
