Obamanation!

Gird well your loins,
this is the phase of Obamanation!
Great challenge is coming
to our weakened nation.

All the dominoes are stacked,
one push’ll make ‘em fall;
all the fats cats with their pockets packed,
won’t cease to answer the beast’s call.

Power’s shifting, minds are drifting,
most not founded on The Rock;
devil’s play has man in sway,
sound thought’s blocked!

Masses convinced that black is white,
no more strength to put up fight;
right is wrong and night is day,
best be careful what you say!

Political correctness has weakened many senses,
our borders now defenseless like our minds;
if we don’t change direction and lead with His protection,
then we are only blind leading the blind!

Gird well your loins,
this is the phase of Obamanation!

Author notes

1Pe 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth[belt of Truth], and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
1Co 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was The Christ.
Re 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea [the sea represents humanity or all of mankind], having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4 And they worshipped the dragon [Satan] which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. [false prophet]
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

The beast is a political leader & he rules the beast system, which is a One World Government!

How'm I doin'?

    So much has come to pass since you have written this.. Were the same people to come back and comment I wonder if they would feel the same way? I honestly did not think the President with this much education would in his haste to push through an agenda he does not understand the consequences of . America will be a waste land economically with a short recovery if any then a direct descent that will destroy us for many years . Liberals will try and say it was not them as they are destroying us this very moment in time. This is not a Christian man or a leader for the United states this is a leader for one world order. Where this places him in the chain of events of Biblical history he is not the Antichrist too many people see him. a lot of minorities only see his half color and will not admit this to themselves.. I am not sure that is hard to understand. To me I would not care if he was colored green and had purple hair he is not what this country needs . If you will not give him what he wants he is prepared to use force to beat you into submission note the tea parties.

    • One thing I will say is that many people didn't understand what I was saying in this poem. When I mention black & white I'm not talking about skin color [I'm not prejudiced in the least!] I'm talking about ppl not being able to distinguish between right & wrong. I know that Obama is not the Beast, but he is a part of the process that's in formation ~ leading up to a 'One World Government' & the 'Beast Power' with the Beast [leader of that Gov't] in the forefront. For those with eyes to see, Obama is openly showing what he is. As the word says:
      'you know them by their fruits'! We are in perilous times & things aren't going to get better! Thanks for your read & honesty. I appreciate that!

    I LOVE THIS PIECE!!! THANK YOU FOR WRITING! YES INDEED GIRD UP YOUR LOINS! OBAMA THE "MESSIAH" OUR LEADER INTO OBLIVION.

    THE PIECE IS AN EXCELLENT WRITE, IT FLOWS WONDERFUL I LOVE THE WORD "OBAMANATION"! AND I HOPE EVERYONE READS IT!

    • Love

      your enthusiasm! Wrote this towards the end of his campaign. Was sick of all the news & people looking to him as a messiah [I'm a Bible Scholar {student}] & I wish I could say the word Obamanation was original but it's not. I think I heard it on a news show or saw it on the Web & thought it was such a clever play on words! Well ~ this is perhaps one of my most read pieces. I see that it's gotten 72 reads now. Huh...and my Dad said 'don't discuss religion or politics'. I thought to myself 'how boring'! Religion & politics can be 2 of the most interesting topics to talk about. So glad you 'get' this. You should've seen some of the comments I got from Dems who love him & weren't getting the full scope of this piece! I even had people calling me a bigot! Some of my best friends are African American! Thanks for finding this & for your kind comments!

  • witty and smart...your writing always has a bigger message...i like that...I will have to say that I disagree with your message here...but that doesn't have anything to do with your talent as a poet... Tell me, do you feel like it is your duty to spread your beliefs through your art? I wonder if your talent is overlooked due to the content of your writing??? I guess we all write about what we KNOW and BELIEVE...I've never been able to write much fiction...lol peace and light, kp

    • Thanks

      for reading & your comments! In answer to your question about my Ministry I'll send you to this link: http://allpoetry.com/poem/5336827 I just posted this & it's pretty much my 'job description' if you will. If whatever talent that I display is overlooked that's OK. I'm duty bound to answer my calling. I write about what I'm inspired to write & write little 'fiction'. The Giver of all good gifts knows what He's given me & why. My responsibility is to use those gifts to His glory!

    Obama is the man. And by the man i mean "The Man" haha. All the things hes promised he's gone against. He's still torturing, still helping wall street with our taxes. He is a Public Relations job for our puppet government that is controlled by foreign banks. But he is a charmer. im done with politics. Good work even though i know you are not really saying any of that in your poem.

    • You've

      been paying attention my friend! You have open eyes! I've never liked politics, I'm not into it now. I write about politics to hopefully open eyes. You and I are seeing some of the same things poet. Thanks for reading & your astute comments!

    Revelation, Daniel, Ezekiel, Jeremiah and pretty much all of the books of the minor prophets are soooo creepy. I like the prose of the bible better than any other. Try reading the book of Obadiah with militant Islam in mind...

    • I was surprised

      by your suggestion to go to Obadiah! I'm going to go back there again as it's not a book I read often. Obadiah is actually a very encouraging book. I don't find the prophets creepy...I do find them intense & very detailed needing much study & thought! Thanks for reading ....you didn't comment on my poem!

        In my own way, I did, because there are allusions to what's going on in your poems in all of those books. And I'm sorry, but the earth fleeing from God and blood up to horses reigns and multi headed creatures and wheels within wheels covered in electrum and bugs that come oyt of the earth from the abyss that look like lion women with the sting of scorpions in their tails are CREEPY!!! I don't care how you slice it. And don't even get me started on God carrying Ezekiel to the third heaven BY HIS HAIR!!!... or what Ezekiel did afterwards. .

        • The Bible....

          is the # 1 Best Seller of all times for many reasons! So glad to see your not Biblically illiterate, but beyond that I don't know what to say! Thanks for your time & reminding me of how much I love His Word!

    I think i missed something here, Obama has only been there for a few months, I hope people are not falling again for the political talk[that gets seasoned with things that sound of faith, but may not be more than an individual's political point of view]: the nation was led to the brink of ruin true, but not by Obama, it seems that his time since January has been aimed at repairing damage done to the nation- physical, economic, and spiritual...after eight looong, loooong years so much fear being spread, a tool for control... but the poem was very powerful...PK

    • Not sure

      if you missed something! I wrote this in November...I'm not talking specifically about Obama here, his or anyone's politics but the state of things as they are in the world presently. Heard the term Obamanation & thought that was a cleaver expression that had a double meaning. He's leading the country, we are in bad shape & although he touted a 'change' from the politics as usual...the way of the world is the way of the world & he's got a tough job ahead of him & as I said 'the dominoes are already stacked'! I'm a Bible Scholar [student] & I'm seeing prophesy unfold even as I type this! This poem spilled out of me & is inspired so thanks for noting it's powerful. Glad you made your way here & thanks for commenting.

        • Well

          thank you Pete! I can do nothing but share my gifts as is fitting to The Giver of all good gifts! I'm glad you came by here also.

    Poet

    I am sure you are going to get some heat for this. Yes, night is day & day is not now. One must be careful not to offend. For some are suddenly in a very delicate state.

    • This was

      a well read poem! I think this got the most reads of any of my poems. I'm not saying anything negative about Obama here...just stating the facts that if one has open eyes will see. Believe it or not someone thought:

      Masses convinced that black is white,
      no more strength to put up fight;
      right is wrong and night is day,
      best be careful what you say!

      Was about race & it's about the battle between right & wrong! I think I left that comment up. If you read the stanza carefully it explains itself. This is also speaking of 'political correctness'! When people have preconceived notions they can't see what's right in front of their faces! I'm not into 'political correctness'. I follow The King of the Universe & need to speak His Word & truth. If I had to worry about offending people for speaking the truth I'd have to stop writing! I don't go out of my way to offend & certainly don't like people being angry with me but in the end I have to answer to my King for all I do & I am to please Him. Glad you found your way here Bob. Thanks for the read & you comments.

    This was an interesting poem for sure!

    We have been studying the Revelation for quite a while now at my church, there are so many interesting things in it... We haven't made it to chapter 13 yet, but we probably will in a few weeks' time. I'm curious what we will find out when studying it in detail. Some of these things are really scary, if you think about them... But the Revelation was not written down to scare us believer... And I'm really glad about that.

    Sorry for drifting slightly off topic... But that just came to my mind when reading your poem...

    Okay, about the poem itself...
    I like the message you are getting across in this poem very much. The content was intensified by the form, the flow and rhyme gave this piece a fast pace that is very effective in supporting the statement you are making here.

    Thank you for sharing this!
    God bless you!
    Your little sister in Christ, Annie

    • Glad you found your way here

      and that you could appreciate this poem! We are watching prophesy unfold before our eyes & need to strengthen ourselves with His Word in our hearts, minds & action! I read Revelation when I was 10 & knew it was true & was scared to death! I was in Catholic School at the time & although they gave me a Catholic Bible they didn't teach me how to study it! I saw the horrific details without comprehension & knew that whatever it said would come to pass. I know for certain it will come to pass now, know more about it as an adult & am working to be prepared for whatever comes if I'm challenged for following The Way! I that your studies bear much fruit! As with the rest of the Bible, Revelation is jam packed with imagery, history & truth for those with eyes to see & ears to hear. Thanks for reading & your encouraging comments!

    Strong & Powerful

    "Change is coming" -- I wish the world realized that change began in 1991 and has been merely escallating since in the wickeds' domination and it's God's people who will suffer at the hands of their mindless greed and cruelty.

    I'm not quite sure how this relates to Obama, in that God has made it clear, "I set up kings, and I take down kings." Obama is precisely where he is supposed to be in order to fulfill God's final day orders. All world leaders merely fulfill God's will, regardless of how it might seem to the finite perspective.

    Nevertheless and as usual, your writing is awesome, and in this piece you do impart a great deal of truth and warnings to the world at large. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they would hear Christ's untutored-by-man handmaidens? Alas, we know differently but continue in His work. Once, a few years ago, I was asked if I ever felt like "John the Baptist crying in the wilderness." I suppose I do.

    Much love in Christ, BonnieQ

    Although i don't know very much about Obama and his affect on the American people, i thought this poem was well written. Was Obamanation a play on words? (abomination) Not knowing, can't say. It seems to me that no matter what the U.S does, nothing seems right by a some. You are probably right in saying that the domioes are stacked against you, and will Obama pull your country out of the rut it finds itself in at this time. Like i said, i can't say, but i do hope good prevails and the scriptures are not pointing to him. God bless the states! Well written.

    The night before the election, I looked into the darkened sky to see a perfect crescent moon with a nearby star in the opening

    I knew then he would win

    Fearing him a sleeper muslim, which their scripture leaves instructions to sign any pledge, blend in...

    A friend watched an old Twilight Zone where Tom Skerrit was a presidential candidate, who came out of nowhere to win (He had sold his soul to the devil)

    My son said he was going to freshen up on antichrist scrips, and said he would freak if Ob gets shot in the head... and gets better

      Your son has a good imagination & sense of humor! I don't feel that Obama is the antichrist or the beast, but I do believe that Father allowed this to come to pass 'cause he's the President we deserve & he'll help to usher in the beginning of the end of this present world system. Until that time things will get much worse before The Second Coming! That's Prophesy & we are in the times of unfolding. It's always good to freshen our Bible Study! Revelation has many details that require a thorough study of the entire Bible. Line upon line, here a little there a little, as The Word itself tells us how to study it! Thanks for reading & commenting! I knew Obama would win also. He will be used to usher in The One World Government! Time will tell....

    Outstanding

    What I liked so much about this poem was the way you took a story from the bible and put it into a modern context. The notes led me to read the poem again and to see it with fresh insight. It is true to say there is a lot wrong in the world today and people have got very cynical about what government is in fact able to achieve. With a new president on the horizon it is a time to reflect and hope the situation will improve. Whether Obama can bring this new hope remains to be seen and you appear to be doubtful about his abilities. Thankyou for posting such an interesting poem with such detailed notes

      Thanks for your seeing the Biblical analogies & also understanding that I'm not attacking our President elect! Obama has many abilities, but as a Bible Student & one who's studied myself & the ways of man, I know that man alone can't solve the world's problems. Only the Savior's return will put things aright & now that Obama's in the picture the pace of His return will quicken, and that means Satan's attacks will become stronger. We've a rough road ahead!

    Dear Kathleen..Appreciating what you have written even in the spiritual context and scriptures..it seems that religious circles have painted him as that "beast" of the Bible.Even here in Canada religious circles are wary of him, for this reason that you mention? America itself is looking for a leader, even the Pope who came in this year a father to rescue them from their troubles?
    The whole world is looking for a Saviour, as it is in so many countries. We know who the true Saviour is...Rather than paint the new president elect as the horror story, we all need to pray. Unless we are sure
    that this new president is as horrid as God says...should we judge ahead of time? from north of your border...Being watchful and praying...Thought provoking write!

      This poem is stirring many people up! I'm not calling Obama the antichrist, the beast or anything of that sort. I am trying to bring to the fore the fact that this country is and has been in a bad state & that it's going to get worse! We've positioned ourselves through greed and apathy to be taken over by foreign interests and nations. We are the biggest debtor nation in the world. We have fallen from the position we once had & no longer 'own' our own country! Man in and of himself can do nothing to correct the inequities of the world. When The Savior returns He'll correct all the ills, but until then things are going to get much worse, not better! for our country and the world!

        Pray tell, could you please elaborate? Sometimes, with all the comments I see about the state of the world and this country, I wonder if anybody is paying attention to the news, or making an effort to get beyond the hype & see what's actually true! Thanks for reading!

          i guess im not the most up to date with politics myself, its your opinion after all I just thought the hitler reference was a bit harsh.

          then again, only time will tell.

            I don't get the Hitler comment either!

            Everybody has a different perspective of what's happening in the world as compared to History. I'm not a History buff & am certainly not a World Politics expert, but I do make an effort to keep my eyes & ears open & to be alert!

    Oh Kathleen ... I am so sad for our nation. I grieve for the babies, the elderly, and those of all faiths.

    But our God reigns and will bless those faithful to His Word.

    Be at peace dear heart. God is in control and His will be done. Pray, now more than ever, for our nation and our leaders and our new president.

      Yes, Father is in Charge!

      Bible students who understand Revelation know where all this is leading. This is just one more step toward Prophecy! I'm grieving for righteousness to be revealed!
      'Blessed are those who hunger & thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled'!
      HalleluYah! I'm praying mightily with you!

      Thanks!

      Well, we may have different understanding about the Bible, but I'm of the same mind as you about where we are now politically! This all fits in with prophesy & I'm afraid that we got the President this country deserves. We've been paving the way to hell for ourselves for a long time now & we're reaping what we've sown!
