The blind man is so naïve;
he can live his life and never see
how the world is changing
and soon will be.
There are many kinds of people,
some are evil some are kind,
and some that watch the world burn
but never speak their mind.
The world is catching on fire,
because no one ever learns,
that fighting fire with fire
will cause us all to burn.
But the blind man doesn’t fear,
because he can’t see the flame,
so when people start screaming “fire!”,
he is the one they’ll blame.
Before his death, he reviews his past,
how naïve, but happy, he used to be,
before this evil, unnatural world
suddenly made him see.

I love this write!! XD Every stanza was brilliantly written.. and I never felt the rhyme was forced. ^.^
Some people are so wrapped up in their own little worlds, that they cant see what's going on around them.. And when they finally realize that things are going wrong.. When they finally see things the way they are.. it will be too late.

Amazing write. It is but human nature to blame others sadly enough. Global Warming?! Blame the president!!! bah. I could go on and on about this subject, but I much enjoyed your take on this.

thanks! and its kinda like how some people think "Oh everything is going great, everyone is happy, blah blah blah" and so they have no clue what is really going on and all the bad things and people. so when things start to "crash and burn" or get worse, they are still in their own little la la world so everyone is going to blame them and the la la world person is going to try to blame other people because they never even knew what was going on. so at this point, everyone realizes something has gone horribly wrong and everyone is blaming everyone else so they won't get blamed themselves.
uhm...that was a lot less confusing in my head...well, i hope that helped a little bit. thanks for actually caring enough to ask!
