If one truly listens
Winds will reveal our fate
Stop and see if you can envision
That the trees are skeletons beyond the gate ...
Tis wise to be afraid ...
For all futures end in sorrow
No matter how success adorns our days
We all wither to the marrow
And face the autumn of our change
Dreading winter's icy chill
Once the warmth has gone to stay
In the coffins that we fill
