The Soul is returning

once again
into the earth
below the depths
a blue calm lake..

the hunger is ending,
with it, the yearning

And a reunion begins
roots long forgotten..
below the depths
of the blue calm lake

an awaited rest begins
depositing and enjoying
the treasures collected..

where the journey began
the journey ends..

The Soul will return
where it belonged

below the depths
of a blue calm lake

its place to live
its place to be
below the depths
of a blue calm sea
The soul returns
the journey earned
thus forming into-
the deep blue ocean.

i find a certain understanding here that does not involve death, but more like a hungry soul has made its travels and now returns, perhaps full, or maybe complete, and can now rest just below the depths, where it belongs. home, resting, calm. love it.

:-) Rest between the journeys.. hopefully on levels and plains higher than the last one...

    Yes, definitely.

Peace...I know it's what I seek...that nice blue calm, that, as you state...leads to a greater more...Mariza saw death...ok, because the soul is returning...she's a smart critter, don't tell her that!

The hunger is ending...whatever life that was led...it was not an easy one on human urges, I don't think.

Reminds me of reincarnation in a way, or maybe just the entire journey...birth to re-birth...but of course I also see it mainly as the soul's transcendence into Heaven...or it's diffusing into nature...depending on the readers belief system.

Oh yes!!! The calmness that this poem passes through is enchanting. I see dead, but not as the end, not a sad thing, just a transformation, a change of dimensions.
