Beneath the glistening sun,
Stranded on a world of our own,
Praying for help not to come,
I listen to the notes of our song.
Sitting and writing my love,
On a floor made of golden silk,
Above us an azure crystal sky,
I stare lovingly into your eye's.
Diamond specked velvet above,
You watch as i brush out my hair,
Praying for help not to come,
Grateful we're both stranded there.
Author notes
Firstly let me say Happy Birthday : )
As for the contest i think its a great idea for a contest.
Now for my poem specifically, it is written about a man who i am......well the only word suitable is smitten with. He is a bartender at the club i go to and he has just had his heart broken and so he has asked me to wait for him which i am happy to do.
As for referencing the items
1) "I listen to the notes of our song." is a reference to him playing a song for me on the guitar we found.
2) "Sitting and writing my love," is a reference to me sitting and writing poems in the diary found.
3) "You watch as i brush out my hair," is obviously a reference to the brush that was found.
Hope that the poem is ok and if not oh well i enjoyed writing it : )
Blessed Be
