i will write you
a tangerine poem
like a sun crumb
afloat and growing
in your bowl of
day compote
because
you may explore
the universe
carefully
and my mouth
may pour
brown-sugar words
into you
yet you don’t
realize
and i can’t
express
how much
you improve
the recipe
for a life meal.
i will write you
a tangerine poem
seedless
in metaphor
but fruitful
in meaning
to spread
and delight.
i will pencil you
juicy
to quench
your thirst
during nights
like the desert.
the poem slices
will come off
between your
fingers
trusting,
with the slight swish
of euphoria.
the moisture of its stanzas
will linger,
make itself at home
on your taste buds-
an aromatherapy session
of each other.

I really love the repetition of the 'i will write you ...' - it makes it seem to me like you are asserting that you will write something, and be damned all who disagree or that might just me my thoughts colouring your words beautiful poem lovely, and I hope that he loved it!!
