note to daddy

Daddy, I love you,
you raised me to be good.

you raised me to have manners,
to say please and thank you too.

because of you,
I'm a good girl now.

I have a daughter,
I want you to  meet.

Daddy your gone,
I know.

But she looks just like you,
your hair, your eyes, your nose.

I hope to give her the knowledge,
the knowledge you bestowed to me.

I hope to teach her right from wrong,
just like you taught me daddy.

Daddy, I love you,
you raised me to be good.

What's Good for You Was Good for Me

A wonderful tribute to a wise father, and to an even wiser daughter who will raise up her daughter as he raised up you. I really like this poem. It is a winner
