Little Baby Princess
Daughter of the Great King
Sleeping there so peacefully
As if in a Dream
What did he say to you?
When you arrived back home-
Dressed in flowing robes of white
Before a great white throne?
Did he tell you that I miss you
That I want you back, my dear
Did he tell you that your father
Is so lonely here?
I hope he gave you a great big hug
and held you on his knee
For that's the very best place for you
If you cannot be with me.
Author notes
I wrote this when I was younger for someone in my church, his daughter died when she was 3months old. I played this at thier funeral.

You rhyme well; especially compared to other rhyming pieces I've read here. If this is true to life poetry I am sorry for the loss; though, sorry doesn't help much. It is nice to see that you believe in Heaven and your last two lines are true.
