Light cutting through my mind
Like shards of glass pressing in
I wish for another place and time
I need more air to breathe
They say I just need to grieve
Time is slow, mind is jumbled
I can't move on terror sets in
My life is crashing I feel myself crumble
I need to fight
But I'm not sure how to make it through the night
I see the pain inside
like far away in the distance
but where I am now feels like I've died
I have a blade I'll use my treasured friend
I have to feel i have to live I have to put this to an end
I need help I need a cure
you said meds would help
But which you wasnt sure
I trusted you and now look I quit the meds you see
and Im a much happier me

Oh yes depression is so hard and you discribed this very well. Great for the contest for it is the Darker Side of any persons: being if they have experienced it like this. Your ryhme, rythem and flow with great imagery of these types of emotions and feeling are great.. You ended it on a happy not. Best wishes in the contest.
