Never Alone

Missing image
Oh gentle touch upon my naked hand
Divine proof that alone I never stand
Brisk winds cutting me deeply to the bone
Your warm, gentle embrace to me be known.

For even when I’m overwhelmed and lost
Love comes not at a particular cost
All you ask that I remember your Grace
Honor and worship you in any place.

Though I oft forget and stray from your side
You welcome me back with arms open wide
Your omnipotent guidance brings forth light
Resign my heart and soul to be all right.

Oh God, my Father, you make me humble
Walking your path so that I won’t stumble

Hey, this poem gave me a lot of comfort. I was brought up in the church and believed in god, but as soon as i realised that i was being sexually abused at home, i blamed god and have never been able to connect with him again. I do believe in angels though, they keep me strong. A very moving piece and picture, thank you xxx

This is a very beautiful uplifting poem. It was very emotional, but at the same time it kind of felt a little disconnected. That's the only thing I didn't like. Beautiful and word choice. Good luck.

Beautiful!!!!! Your words covey such depth of love.
Exquistely expressed and in such flowing style. It made me think of my favourite bit in the bible; 'Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.'
The Lord surely did just that. Beautiful.

    Just Beautiful

Wow the beauty of the humble tribute to our Heavenly Father is just stunning in this most perfect poem. The ryhme, rythem and flow with just beautiful emotions and imagery makes this just a winner standing alone in and of itself. God the Father when we are surrendered keeps us humble for sure to him and then this does keep us from stumbling as you basically stated in this beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing your love for the Lord with me as well as your beautiful talent to write poetry.

    Wishing You Many Blessings
    Much Love

And your poem adds so much to that picture. A great combination you have going here. Thanks for sharing this and thanks for entering it into my contest.
