Passionate Purple
Soft light passes the window.
Shadows dance on the wall and floor.
Remembrance of your life in colour and textures.
Always the softest of touch on the skin.
Always dark and non transient colours.
Your bed a haven and sanctuary to be lost in.
Your gown flowing and long to be wrapped in.
Candlelight and incense to make the mind pliable.
Sweet dark wine to quench thirst, releasing inhibitions.
Hot kisses, dark lips, soft tongue.
Drawen deeper and deeper into the purple passion of your soul.
Now you are gone your life fully lived.
A candle at the head and a wreath at the foot.
Soft silken purple pillows to rest on.

you managed to spell pssionate correctly in the opening line of your poem, but it is misspelled in your title, just thought you'd like to know so you could ammend it. the poem is soft with a haunting undertone that makes it interesting. good luck to you in the contest.

In many ways this is kind of on the dark side as if she has been put to rest. Perhaps this is just a restful sleep, but the wreath at the foot and the life fully lived could mean just "full" not end. In any event, parts are quite sensual and loving.

I like your choice of words in this write and your vivid explanation of her and how she is remembered......very sweet and loving write

Lovely write, soft and sweetly spoken from the heart. A very romantic write, the ending is a bit sad, but what a life that must have been lived, as love obviously graced it. Wonderful write.
Thank you for your entry!
