I remember when she was two or three.
I heard little sad eyes say, one day that will be me.
I said you bet it buttons, I bet you will.
The day moved on and little blue eyes held her will.
Finally she was a great big ten.
I herd her say not much longer for me.
Fifteen she was just barely handing on.
Then at eighteen she tried her winds.
I said nothing, it was not up to me.
She practiced her walks about.
The little lady fluttered her wings
Out went bright eyes, picking up the golden ring.
Author notes
Sorry I just couldn't say dull blue eyes.
