In The NOW

Thought is but one moment in time
We are one human being
There is no separation

only differences in how we think

Differences in acceptance

and differences in perception

making the distinction

between how we live

and what we achieve

in life

An empty mind will simply

be filled with destructive elements

An adventurous mind filled

with excitement and thrills

But when the mind becomes alert

and alive to all things

it opens doors to reality

beyond all earthly bounds

I enjoyed the way your poem progresses and leads the reader through signposts along the path you present here to us ... I almost felt like an adventurous explorer who advances with curiosity through the landscape of your soul from which you are sharing the rich experience you have gathered ...
I very much like the final stanza, it was like the promised grail found at the end of a treasure-quest ...
it could almost stand on its own, so powerful it is ...

as for empty minds being filled with destructive elements, I share your viewpoint if we consider "empty" as lacking clarity or consciousness ...

in meditation, emptiness of mind (or freedom from mind) has a whole different meaning of course ... but that is not the subject here

thank you so much for your participation,
    maa

    I like this

We are not what we have been told, but far greater. I like the words - adventurous, excitement, alert, alive. This is very positive.
I found some typos - spell check would help.
    Best of luck!

That's just beautiful...The art reminds me of something I once did on the beach.
