Taffy Esquire #

  Taffy is an meticulous male
  Always wears a dinner suit
Has marks upon his vest and gloves
  And never cleans his boots.
  He's mostly a true gentleman
But has one most annoying trait
He barks his bloody head off
When we come in the  gate.

Taffy is a "Peter Pan"dog, you know, the one that never grows up. Although he is 8 years old he is still a very engaging puppy. glad you enjoyed it.

What a great little poem this is; I felt the welcome you get from the scruffy gent in the dinner suit!

He is the most adorable little hound, even when he's untidy. Many thanks and glad you enjoyed the read.

It was written for fun and that little dog is full of fun. A genuine 'Peter Pan' dog. I am glad you had a chuckle with this one. We never annoy the neighbours as the nearest is about a mile away.

Wonderful little poem about a true little friend. Dogs will always be there no matter what, and when you come home, they are so glad to see you. I found that with my Lani (she was a cat though). You described him quite well and gave him a real character. I take it he is black and white? Dinner suit! What ever, it was a brilliant piece of work with no need to change a thing.

you are quite astute in recognising my little black dog with his dinner suit. He is normally a quiet little hound with the manners of a real gentleman. But when we come home he announces it to the whole world, loudly. Many thanks for your supportiing comments.

Love it mate! It's good to be welcomed home isn't it? I've got a black female staffy called Jedda. She does much the same.

It is great to be welcomed home. Taffy is the smallest of three dogs and the noisiest. He looks like a cardigan corgi but we call him the milkman's dog [father unknown] Many thanks for commenting, kind sir.
