Quiet Quiet

Quiet
Quiet
Let me take a minute
Look into your eyes

passing by me
Oh so often
Oh so quietly
Oh so beautiful in this everlasting evening

The hours past
And the wa wa wa
Of the television
Of the world around me in this loving warm cocoon

Has dulled
Has died
Has left me all alone

Quiet
Quiet
Stop and take a minute
Look into my eyes

walking by me
Always thinking
Always moving
Always in full swing of your perpetual playing

Your fingers tap
And the clack clack clack
From your room
From the challenge you've left in ruin

Is easing
Is slowing
Is leaving you behind

Quiet
Quiet
Let me take a minute
Look into your eyes

Have they faded long away
Big and round
And vacantly staring straight?
Our minds are empty, yet brimming over

Paying mind to the small
The ordinary
The suddenly riveting

Has taken over
Has quietly called
Has grabbed my full attention

Quiet
Quiet
Stop and take a minute
Look into my eyes

    LOVE THAT.
    I can picture it.
    perfectly.

    Has dulled
    Has died
    Has left me all alone

    I understand.

    Your fingers tap
    And the clack clack clack
    From your room
From the challenge you've left in ruin

    Is easing
    Is slowing
    Is leaving you behind

    Isn't it always?

Our minds are empty, yet brimming over

    Paying mind to the small
    The ordinary
    The suddenly riveting

    Has taken over
    Has quietly called
    Has grabbed my full attention

    love the flow and rhythm

i wish it had ended there, but I really do like this. THANK you. and goodluc
