a lone lost lover seeks refuge in the corner
sustaining on stale popcorn and reanimated fears
and cinematic representations of embracing desolation
streetcars of desire sped away
leaving rebelious skidmarks of cause
while talking typewriters tak and ding arsenic responses,
and pest controllers shoot spousal apples
from sleepy euphoric heads
as silenced dragons howl the beat
of a lost generation
