Stranded on my empty bed,
empty except for my crew of animals,
as swarms of sharks encase our ship.
"Land Ho!" my tiger first mate cries!
The books on the shelf next to the bed
become the oars to paddle ourselves to shore.
Jack the bear takes his spot in the crows nest,
guiding us to safety.
The ship runs ashore,
and we all dart into the jungle of clothes.
Fighting our way through the closet,
we hear a monster growling in the distance.
There she blows!
The monster storms right towards us.
She's twice our size!
With hair the color of a fire truck!
She stops and stares at us curiously,
then turns and walks away while muttering,
"childish fantasies", and leaves us be.
But the fantasy she speaks of is ruined,
and I crawl back into bed and drift into
a dream filled with tigers and pirates,
oh what lovely dreams.

W-O-W!!!
i love this! i really like how you took the idea of childlike imaginations! -
Outstanding
This is imaginative. I liked the whole concept- a real adventure based on childhood fantasies. An intriguing poem with a lot of originality.

Swweeeet!
This was a sweet one, though it made me a little sad to think the game was ruined. Other than that, the rest made me reminisce and smile though!
