Down to an ember it burns,
Think it’s out just when wind turns.
Then it does flare.
And two scare
To think about.
You want to shout
To get it doused,
But the action is moused
By the want of more.
A fiery galore
Fueled by the two
All that they do.
And on it will roar
While hearts soar
With excitement
Met by delightment,
And the only thing gone
Is the thought that by dawn
The rains will come
And many numb
But the fires demise,
Right before their eyes.
All burnt down
Even the embers drown,
And when up comes the sun
These two are done.
Both walk away
To start that day
Alone.
