Friends were lost, due to a personal war
Don't get me wrong they're not dead
They just consider it of me, and wish it as well
A harsh battle we fought
Truth was on my side, so was love
I won, but I lost...
I lost all that were precise and dear to me
I won the battle, but lost the war
I guess some can't take the truth
I guess they'd rather be wrapped in lies and deceit
Now, I just sit off to the side
Once again the outcast
Never to be invited back into the group
The group I once called friends
You would think that with such powerful allies
You could win and be the hero
Allies like truth and love
Why didn't they help this time?
I guess it's because others prefer to live the lie.

I liked this. But, yeah, like mendee86 said, I think you've a typo in line 7. This is a really sad story - to lose even one friend is horrible, but a whole group is like becoming homeless. The truth is not always beautiful.

I think in the 7th line you meant precious? Not sure, but it looked like that might have been what you meant
Awesome poem - and so very true. Most can't handle the blantent truth, and when you tell them..they just can't understand. Those who accept that truth, are truly there for you. Beautifully stated. Great job -

I like this piece and agree some people can't handle being told the truth. Sugar coat it, thats all they want. I am upfront and tell what I think. If they ask they should ecpect to hear the truth not a lie. Hugs and bites, Lady Raven

Sometimes you make things harder then they seem... You look into things and think too deeply lately... I found this too much like the DO NOT LOOK BEYOND THE VEIL... I think this could've turned out more creatively, insightful, captivating and empowering... No offense, it's just the truth in what I feel about this write...
