All grown up a handsome young man
your life full of hopes and dreams,
groomed by God to fulfill his plan
walking together through peaceful streams.
A journey for you has just begun
in this life of motor cross racing,
the road ahead full of hard work and fun
tough competition is what you'll be facing.
But remember you are a child of the king
blessed with drive and great passion,
already in heaven your praises he sings
when it comes to victory there will be no ration.
Just overflowing favor a reward from God
for the love and faith you've sustained,
in this past year weary steps you have trod
from Matthew's death your heart has been pained.
His spiritual presence is always nearest
when you race and ride like the wind,
set to the goal your heart holds dearest,
under divine protection he has you pinned.
As you carry out this childhood goal
remember you are not alone,
before every race Matt whispers let's roll
and the light of God's glory upon you is shone.
May God bless and keep you in his care
in health, prosperity and love,
if only in spirit Pete and Matthew are there

I hope you like this Bryce...You are blessed by God and blessed with a wonderful family and I hope this encourages you from the past year of hurt from the loss of your dear brother, Matthew. I know he is so proud of you and is beaming down on you with so much pride!!!

These words brought tears to my eyes because I know how KM suffers from the loss of her son. She is fortunate to have another son that she can focus attention on. He needs her and she needs him. I still feel a clenched heart when I think of the loss and I know the family does ten-fold. The beauty in your words is the hope, the happiness, the glory of Heaven and Matthew being there with the Lord and approving of his brother’s actions. Your sentiments are wondrous!
Congratulations on earning the Silver Chalice. The wind is breezing through the window just now, and I am getting chills. That's the power in these words.

You Made Me Cry
Toni, such a beautiful dedication poem. My, have you improved. I was just contemplating the sad death of Jed Travolta. How hard it must be, being the parent, and living your life in a fish-bowl, not grieving in private. When two of my sons were diagnosed with terminal illnesses, I thought I would crack. Strength poured out,m and here it is, 15 years later, and both are thriving due to new meds.

Wow Toni I know Bryce will love this poem. He always talks about God and Matt being with him when he rides. It was so sweet for you to include Pete for I know he really misses him too. Thank you for writing him an encouraging poem. He does love the Lord and he is working so hard at this whole racing thing. I just love him and I'm so proud of him. I know when he races too his stomache gets caught in his throat sometimes because it was a dream they had to do together that is both of them turning Pro and doing the ministry Beyond The Grave. But truth be told Bryce now is Pro as of a couple of months ago and at Matt's memorial we launched officially Matt's desired ministry Beyond The Grave. Bryce was practicing in Mexico this weekend and Bruce and I spoke at a Mens Rehab for Beyond The Grave all in the same weekend. It's weird for both my boys dreams are coming true but Matt is no longer with us. This is not what we had planned.
Anyways the ryhme is excellent and the rythem and flow as well. Bryce and I will always treasure this poem. Thank you so much for entering. Best wishes in the contest.
