Only footprints in the sand, and it flows,
Sweeping away like ferrous wheels; so it goes,
And I’d like to think it’s then—when we fly,
Just adrift, amidst the placid sky.
When we let bye’s-be-bye’s: to old friends and Mothers,
To the ones secretly seething, to sisters and brothers;
How there will be time to jest again, after the settle;
‘Til intention directs the winds; the soul, swaying like a petal.
The silver lined clouds shinning, hopeful beacons to the isle,
Where in reborn-life we relish again. To live. To love. To smile.
To believe and beams, ‘til end we follow to reach,
To let loose our shackles, to rise from the maternal beach,
To finally breathe. Air--floating above the mire.
A life-long wait, the place of our ever-long desire.
But to break free before the winds catch, we learn life.
To breathe the world like Air, this, our only strife.
We sit amongst the pieces of there:
The wishes of tomorrow sent over in prayer.
In hope we rest, that upon the setting sun's eternal ray
We will find the happiness that eluded throughout the day.
But with eyes in present, we discover that which is worthwhile,
And the lessons that live within tomorrow… To live. To love. To smile.
Author notes
Seize the day, for heaven is simply a model of today.
